Sunday, June 8, 2008 - 1pm Brunch, 2pm Presentation

Time Out: Robin's Mystery Book Club Sunday Brunch

You are invited to a mysterious Sunday afternoon in Midtown Village, to meet your favorite mystery authors, talk mysteries with others who love the genre and have brunch at the area's newest restaurant.

Your host will be Deen Kogen, owner of the Society Hill Playhouse and member of the standing committee of Bouchercon: The World Mystery Convention, who will introduce the featured writers. Brunch will be served at 1pm and the author presentations will begin at 2pm, followed by a discussion and a question and answer period.

This program is organized by Robin's Book Store, Philadelphia's oldest independent bookstore now celebrating our 72nd year. Brunch will be served at Time, our neighborhood's newest restaurant, which opened on April 20, 2008 at 1315 Sansom Street. The menu will be a la carte with a variety of delicious selections.

At each meeting you will have the opportunity to purchase the book selections for the following month at a 20% discount and you will receive a ticket for a free Mimosa at the next month's meeting when you do so. Reading the book before you meet the author makes for a better discussion and is more fun.

The series will be launched with a group event on Sunday June 8, 2008 featuring Philadelphia based mystery writers such as Cordelia Frances Biddle, D.H. Dublin, Merry Jones, William Lashner, Richard Sand, Lisa Scottoline, Duane Swierczynski, Charles Todd, and others. Check our website www.robinsbookstore.com for the confirmed list of authors attending.

Each month we will feature a mystery writer from the Philadelphia area and a mystery writer from out of town. Check our website www.robinsbookstore.com for details.
